TCCA Biocide

Chemtex’s Trichloroisocyanuric Acid (TCCA) based biocides are superior quality, highly effective, environment friendly biocides. It is used in cooling water systems and other applications, pulp and paper processes etc.

TCCA is an excellent source of chlorine for the control of biofouling in swimming pools, industrial water systems and cooling water systems. TCCA is a better and more economical alternative to bleaching powder and sodium hypochlorite for use in industrial water treatment applications.

With high effective chlorine concentration, as high efficient germicide, it's steady and convenient and safe for storage and use.

Isothiazolinone Based Biocide (CMIT/MIT)

Chemtex’s Isothiazolinone (CMIT/MIT) based biocides are effective and low poisonous environmental disinfectant which is used in water treatment, papermaking, coating, rubber, emulsion, plastic, sealant, bond, paint, lumber, leather and oil field.

It is composed of 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-thiazoline-3-ketone (CMIT) and 2-methyl-4-thiazoline-3-ketone (MIT). It breaks down the bonds between bacteria and algae protein. When contacted with microbes, Isothiazolinones can quickly inhibit their growth, thus leading to death of these microbes.

RO Membrane Disinfectant Biocide
Reverse Osmosis Membrane Biocide or RO Disinfectant helps in keeping away biofouling and formation of biofilms in the membrane. It is safe and biodegradable biocide which is effective against wide spectrum micro-organisms & requires low dosage level for accelerated response followed by gradual action for effective removal of algae, fungi and bacteria.

Biofouling of RO membrane can result in various severe problems such as poor and contaminated permeate quality, reduced flow rate, increase in power and reduced productivity. ALKRO range of RO biocide when dosed in the RO feed water in the CSL recommended dosage is safe for human consumption as the same is biodegradable and chlorine free.

ALKRO RO biocide eliminates the need of chlorination of water and then de-chlorination, because of its chlorine free and biodegradable property. Equivalent or even better than Maxtreat 9651.

Dosage:

ALKRO Biocide is normally fed continuously prior to the final cartridge filter. It should be injected by chemical dosing pump from a dilution tank or directly from the drum to the feed water line. The amount of biocide required to inhibit bio-fouling depends on the quality of feed water. The specific dosage rates will be specified by the CSL technical representative.

DBNPA Biocide

Chemtex’s 2, 2-DiBromo 3-Nitrilo Propionamide (DBNPA) based biocides are superior quality, highly effective, environment friendly biocides. It is used in cooling water systems and other applications, pulp and paper processes etc.

It provides a quick kill to bacteria and microbes as well as also quickly degrading in water. The final end product is carbon dioxide and ammonium bromide.
